A balanced wheel should leave once.

The weight held in the bay. Then it met the road.

Road film, oils, and leftover residue sit between the adhesive and the wheel. The weight can pass the tug test, then let go on the road.

Remove the old weight. Spray the old bond area and wipe away the remaining adhesive, dirt, and residue. Spray the clean bond area again, let it dry for a few seconds without wiping, then install the new weight.
